The Purple Comet Math Meet is an online contest in April for teams of students. East Tipp's team(s)
will answer as many of the given fifteen problems as possible in the allotted sixty minutes, looking to place as high in the world rankings of the Junior Division as
possible.

The top thirty students on the XMT leaderboard will be invited to participate.
The official Purple Comet competing team from East Tipp will be assembled by Mr. Rice; alternate teams, composed of the
remainder of the interested top thirty, will assemble themselves as desired.

XMT points are awarded for participation at a rate of 20 points per competing student.
XMT points are awarded for performance as follows:
If the official competing team is the highest scoring team from East Tipp, no performance points are awarded. If the
highest-scoring alternate team ties or outscores the competing team, that alternate team will be awarded the
official team's participation points.
